Cupcakes? Or pie? Why not both?
I was talking with a friend about my lack of orders this past fall, when she kindly suggested that maybe people are just more into pie around Thanksgiving/Christmas time instead of cupcakes.
Enter: Apple Pie Cupcakes.
These cupcakes were for an order just after Thanksgiving. The cake itself is a perfect balance to the sweet apple pie filling hiding under the cream cheese frosting. I topped it with a maple leaf made from pie crust – my mom’s recipe.
I’m thinking these could be a seasonal option for next year, offered along side my regular menu that I’m putting together.
