Feeling overwhelmed lately. (I even searched for some inspiring quotes to ease my anxiety. But I got overwhelmed by looking through all of them. Ha! But seriously, if anyone has any quotes they’d like to share – post in the comment section below!)
Anyways, there is just so many techniques and recipes and creations that I want to try! When I’m on pinterest, I try to only pin things that I feel I will realistically use. But then I get “pin happy” and I look back and realize that I am probably never going to try that super difficult recipe with a billion ingredients that I never have on hand. And then I get overwhelmed. I just have to keep reminding myself that as long as I keep creating, one project at a time, I’ll be okay. Happy, even. :)
I’m particularly happy when I have reasons to create. Like holidays. (I just decided on what cupcakes I’ll make for Halloween.) Or the family picnic that I made these cupcakes for. They’re Halloween too!
The witch hats are made from a fudge stripe cookie and tootsie rolls. I microwaved a couple tootsie rolls at a time to soften them so I could shape them into hats. Then decorated them with a strip of frosting and star sugar sprinkles. I had the hats done the night before, then just before the picnic, I iced the cupcakes and placed the hats on top.
P.S. I added a poll to the sidebar of my page. Vote just for fun! –>
